Purchasing Support Associate (Entry level)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Support Associate to assist with purchasing operations and vendor coordination for a manufacturing trading firm. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage procurement documentation, track orders, and communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to support efficient procurement and supply chain processes in a fast-paced manufacturing and trading environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding order status, deliveries, and procurement-related inquiries.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.

  • Support vendor research, price comparisons, and procurement analysis to identify cost-effective purchasing options.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in coordinating replenishment requests when necessary.

  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procurement policies and procedures.

  • Provide administrative support to the procurement and finance teams as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    • Relevant work experience in procurement, purchasing support, financial analysis, or a related role.

 

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools for tracking and reporting procurement data.

    • Experience working with procurement, accounting, or ERP systems is a plus.

 

Compensation:

  • The starting salary for this full-time role ranges from $30,000 to $40,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is competitive and aligned with California’s minimum wage standards, with opportunities for growth based on performance and contribution.
