Hundreds of Van Nuys High School students walked out of class Thursday to voice their concerns over U.S. immigration policies.
Around 11 a.m., students peacefully exited the campus and marched down Van Nuys Boulevard toward Van Nuys City Hall. The demonstration remained orderly, with police officers, school officials, and faculty members present to ensure safety.
The walkout was one of several student-led demonstrations addressing immigration policies and their impact on local communities.
